Due to the lack of interesting new manga titles and new releases, I'm currently re-reading Dragon Ball. And let me state here that Dragon Ball is an ingenious work. I'm talking about clean original artwork, not over the top battle scenes (for my taste), and very very humorous with just a tiny dash bit of healthy perverted jokes. Very nice. I remember reading this series from my brother's and my little cousin's collections as a child. Alongside Doraemon. It is safe to say that Dragon Ball is one of the best battle manga ever created, if not the pioneer. I think it has a very interesting concept, about a very strong powerful purehearted boy who turns out to be an alien named Goku. And then there are several different levels of gods ruling different territories and galaxies. In addition, the king of Dragon Ball's earth is a dog whom wear glasses. Goku would later have two sons. Another finding at an exhibition. Ooohh how I love exhibitions/bazaars.....!! Things you can find are so unpredictable. This necklace was not pricey, very unique and ethnical (naturally). It reminds me of a traditional costume, but I don't know which. Does anybody have a clue which traditional costume this necklace resembles? It's not Toraja nor Padang nor Thai, I looked it up and they look nothing like the necklace. But it does look like Toraja/Batak/Padang traditional HOUSE though. Pointy at both ends. Hahaha. introducing my partner in crime, fellow fashion idolatre, idolater (i mean fashion idolazer;) : Kak Aly
Hello! How's it going guys? Not all rainbows, reindeer, unicorns, and lollipops for me. But I'll survive. Today I'm going to do another post about manga. from Otoyomegatari - Kaoru Mori One of my all time favorite mangaka is Kaoru Mori. She's known for her manga Emma, Shirley, and most recently is Otoyomegatari or The Bride's Story. The last one, Otoyomegatari, is the most beautifully drawn manga I have ever seen. Oh-La-La!! The details are exquisite. It is sharp, charming, and realistic. Mori tells her story not only by words but most of the time through pictures. Loud ones. The other thing I love about her work is she often draws the smallest aspect of the characters' life but somehow relevant. Small aspects that you rarely see described by other mangakas. For example, the chapter about trousseau. Rather than describing everything with talking bubbles, Mori draws details and more details. Even the stitching process. Absolutely magnificent. "A lavishly em...
