Trilogi Warna

Warna Tanah, Warna Air, then Warna Langit are three graphic novels' titles.
They are stories of a young Korean girl named Ehwa and her mother.
Upon how they embrace love, meet love, and then wait for their lovers.
The author, Kim Dong Hwa, tells his stories so poetically you can't help but feeling rather melancholic.

He uses various flowers as symbols. Hollyhock, tiger lilies, bunga labu, bunga lonceng putih, bunga kastanye...

Trilogi Warna makes waiting seems so romantic, using flowers as metaphor of love growing inside one's heart...

For falling in love is a wonderful feeling, even after heart breaks we don't give up.
The idea of love is beautiful, it warms your heart.
So we wait.

Longing
Waiting
Waiting for the right person
Waiting for the right person to make a move
Dreaming of the right person
Who sees you
Understands you
Loves you kindly,
Loves you unconditionally.

"Aku sedang mendengarkan hujan...
— Kim Dong Hwa

"Kekasihku tiba, tapi bukan menyambutnya,

Namun aku malah menyipitkan mata, tatapanku

— Kim Dong Hwa
